This name generator allows you to add a word to their database, but doesn't necessarily use that word in the results when you click 'create a name'. The results are two word names like Marigold Butterfly, Ebony Sonnet, Brazen Tale. The generator sends back some silly names, but you just click the 'create a name' button to make a new one if you don't like what you get. They also ask that if you do use a name created by their generator that you email them to let them know.
2. Generator Land Horse Name Generator
Generator Land has a horse name generator, that although is geared to generating racehorse names, creates some pretty cool names that any horse lover could use. If you've wondered where some of those crazy sounding racehorse names come from, this may be part of the answer. Large breeding operations have lots of foals to name when it comes time to register them, and there can not be duplicate names within the breed registries. This isn't a horse name generator at all. It is a band name generator for naming your rock band. However, it returns some really cool results that would make great horse names. This generator allows you to add in a specific word you want in your name. Adding the word black and Black Factor, Luminescent Black, Black Alley, Chip of Black and Black Beacon were among the results. Spinach Of The Black Elastic was also a fun but very random result. 4. The Egyptian Name Generator
The Rum and Monkey website has several free name generators, that are again, not specifically for making horse names. This generator creates Egyptian sounding names. These names would be perfect for Akhal-Teke, Barbs and Arabian bred horses. An Eygptian name is created along with the meaning. I got results like Ain, which apparently means 'priceless', Kamilah (perfection) and Tahirah (pristine). To generate different Egyptian names, enter different real names and choose male or female.
5. The Native American Name Generator
Here is another name generator from Rum and Monkey. This generator creates Native American names. You might find a name for your Paint, pinto, Palomino, Appaloosa, American Quarter Horse or other North American breed. Just enter your own name, or a favorite human name, and choose male or female. The generator will return a Native American name, although unlike the Egyptian name generator, there is no meaning given for the name.
6. What's Your Matrix Name Generator
The Matrix didn't have horses in it, right? A lot of people like this movie and real fans want a Matrix name. Fortunately, this name generator makes great one-word horse names too.7. Fantasy Name Generator
The Fantasy Name Generator is aimed at story writers or RPG players. But it makes some pretty cool horse names and there is a simple and advanced mode with lots of options. Each option returns a page full of names. Many of the names that I created would be great for Icelandic Horses, Warmbloods and Fjiords. This horse name generator doesn't work online, but is downloadable free software. Downloading and setup is super quick. Provided by Horse Rider Supply is is bascially the same generator as I mentioned above. This might be handy if you don't have intenet access all the time.
