Most horses spend a good portion of their lives behind some sort of fencing. There are pros and cons to almost every type of material. took the poll and saw the results, fencing on our little farm is almost a full time job, barbed wire is on most peoples farms somewhere even if it is nit on the majority of the farm, come on you know that’s true,lol

In the summer pastures our horse lives within hedges. Barbed wire is something one cannot get away from entirely. As he is very respectful of fencing no electricity or barbed wire is needed other than to keep out people. So many people cannot understand that horses also deserve to be left alone to graze quietly and feel safe in their fields without intrusion of dogs and their owners.

Your poll only allows for one answer, but may of us have “mixed” fencing. I answered barbed wire, but we use a combination of barbed and electric.
