Is your horse stressed?

If you have a stressed horse, who is constantly depressed and not being themselves or even windsucking, cribbing, weaving, it is through boredom. Leave your horse turned out for as long as possible, for 12 hours if possible, remember to feed them mind! but this really does get the grass in their system and them exercising their legs, they also roll which is the natural thing for a horse to do, My saying is "The more time out, the less stress in".

Foals can copy the habit

If your mare is a cribber the foal can learn to crib from its mother. Think carefully before breeding a mare that is a cribber.
