What I Miss Most About My Horse

Her soft nicker when she saw me, especially at feeding time.

My Horse's Special Characteristics

Anyone could ride her. She took care of the inexperienced.

What We Accomplished Together

She was my daughter's first horse. She introduced my daughter to showing.

Anything Else You'd Like to Share

After her retirement, she became the pasture buddy for all our other horses.

Horse's Name, Color, Breed and Age

She fit her name: Sheeze-A-Breeze. She was a chestnut, overo, Paint. She passed away at age 27. She had been in failing health and we knew we would have to have her put down before winter came, but she died peacefully one night in her stall just before Thanksgiving.

How Long Did Your Own Your Horse, Where Was It From?

We owned her for 16 years. We purchased her from a horse dealer, who had brought her here to CT from Ohio.

We kept her at a stable for a year, then my husband built a barn for her here. We boarded a few horses to so she would have friends.

She was mainly trail ridden here and shown by my daughter in 4-H shows.

Lessons learned

She was the first horse we every owned, so she taught us everything!
