Your Horse's Name and Age
Maverick is 10 yrs. old and acts like a 2 year old, he's a chestnut Quarter horse. The woman I bought him from was his third owner and wasn't sure if he was registered or not, but I'm betting he is somewhere. She didn't know his full name, or his birthday, she only knew he was a spring colt; sometime in 1999. This photo was taken this summer 2009
A few details about your horse.
He is so-so sweet and loves to be around people.
I've been doing a lot of ground work with him, working on us hooking-up, and he's finally connected to me.
He can now be saddle safely, be ridden, and knows all his leg cues.
I haven't owned a horse since 1973, so he and I are learning all over again, together. At the age of 56 I still love the horses.
Tips and Tricks
- How very intelligent he is; he's always trying to figure out what I'm going to ask him to do before I ask. He truly tries to please me, and how easy it is for me to confuse him with the wrong cue.
