Being in Florida I spray my horses twice a day for mosquito and flies.
How Effective is the Fly Spray?
Definitely helps keep the fly population down.

My Review
I use Repel X fly spray (by Farnam) in the concentrated form. I mix a 16 oz. bottle and add 30% of Avon's Skin so Soft bath oil . I have found the Repel X to be the most effective against the flies. The Skin So Soft is also great for flies, but really a great mosquito deterrent. The Skin So Soft bath oil smells great and helps with itchy dry skin. I would definitely recommend this for anyone in a hot climate or horse is suffering from dry skin. The Repel X sprayed morning and night seems to keep the fly population down.
