Guide Review - Getting to Yes - Clicker Training for Improved Horsemanship
Foley describes her journey to exploring clicker training, what clicker training is, why it works and how to introduce yourself and your horse to the clicker. Each chapter lays out a particular training goal and provides almost step-by-step instructions on how to achieve the goal. Exercises are broken down, so that those new to clicker training won't skip a step and there is advice if you make a mistake.
There are also suggestions on how to deal with behavior and riding problems. Training takes place on the ground and under saddle. This is not a book about teaching 'tricks', although clicker training lends itself well to that. You'll find instructions on ground manners, working at liberty and working under saddle. Whether the idea of a totally clicker trained horse appeals to you, or you wish to supplement any other method, this book will be helpful.
