Jump standards. Some are quite plain like these ones, while others can be more elaborate.

Definition: Jump standards are the upright supports for rails of a jump. They are usually made of wood, Most commonly, the base is an X of wood that holds up one square post. On the post. hangers or cups hold the rails that the horse jumps over.
