Answer: Of course you want a horse right now. But be patient! Enjoy shopping and meet as many horses as you can. You will learn something from every one, no matter how brief the encounter. It might be wise to save more money and wait a little longer than compromising with a young, unbroke or unsuitable horse.
You may have to try dozens before you find one you feel comfortable on. You might be lucky and your favorite school horse comes up for sale. Or you might have to wait until the end of the show season for that ideal older horse's owner to complete the season. Eventually you'll find the prefect horse to take up the space in that empty stall and in your heart.
