Definition: Many grey horses start out their lives an almost solid color with only a few white hairs. One example of this is the famous Lippizaners who are solid black when born and by the time they have reached the age of 10 or so, are white. A 'rose grey' is horse who has chestnut hairs interspersed with the white hairs.
Pronunciation: Gr a (long a sound)
