Clean Away Leather Soap and Grime
Toss the dirty soapy water and get some clean. Dampen a rag. The rag has to be just damp enough to wipe off the foam—not wet the leather. Keep wiping until the foam and dirt are gone. Take care to remove the soap from any seams and buckles. Soap left on the bridle will hold the dust and dirt and that’s not good for the leather or stitching.
