Take the Poll: What Driving Styles Have You Tried?
Friday September 14, 2007
On September 18 the International Plowing Match begins. Although the days when horses were used for agricultural work are (almost) gone there are still lots of people who take pride in cutting a clean furrow with a single horse plow. The Plowing Match showcases those vanishing skills as well as other aspects of farm and country living. Agricultural work is just one way to drive a horse. Driving continues to be a popular way for many people to enjoy horses. Do you drive your horse?

Comments
I drive percheron draft horses as a carriage driver in the historic district where I live. They’re magnificent. I’m hoping to ride more sometime soon, too.
We have Standardbreds. I often jog them for training but don’t drive in the races.
