Horse Loss Support

Friday April 28, 2006
Loosing a pet, whether horse, dog, cat or other furred or feathered friend can be a devastating experience. My beloved Freya died just over 2 years ago very unexpectedly and I remember going through such a range of emotions; from sadness, to anger to guilt at being so emotional over loosing what to others (even in my own family) was 'just a horse'. When I asked a friend how long it would be until I got over her death she told me 'oh, about ten years'. It's good to know you're not along in your feelings sometimes. While there are many pet memorial sites Hoofbeats in Heaven provides tributes, links to resources, a support group and solace especially for those who have lost an equine companion.

WOW!! What a great site!! Thank you so much for sharing this. The url you show goes to a link page, but the actual home page http://www.hoofbeats-in-heaven.com/ is really a better place to start (what an awesome painting of horses that have passed over) I encourage everyone to enter on the home page so that they can see all of the great support this site has to offer.
