Loosing a pet, whether horse, dog, cat or other furred or feathered friend can be a devastating experience. My beloved Freya died just over 2 years ago very unexpectedly and I remember going through such a range of emotions; from sadness, to anger to guilt at being so emotional over loosing what to others (even in my own family) was 'just a horse'. When I asked a friend how long it would be until I got over her death she told me 'oh, about ten years'. It's good to know you're not along in your feelings sometimes.
