Safe Hauling Tips

Thursday February 23, 2006
We're fortunate that we live on a quiet back road. This gives me ample time to practise the techniques needed to safely haul a trailer without irritating other drivers. I'm sure people would wonder if they had to drive behind me as I pretend I have the trailer hitched to the truck. I rehearse how to brake, accelerate and turn sl-o-o-owly and carefully whenever I can, so I'll be feeling confident when I finally have my horses in tow. Safe Hauling Tips will help you learn to prepare for your first time hauling horses--including how to back a trailer up in the direction you want go.
