Catching a Hard to Catch Horse

Friday December 30, 2005
I remember when I was still in my teens (a long time ago!) having to leave very early in the morning for a competition. It was still dark and the horses were out in a twenty acre field. Normally they were easy to catch, but on this morning they must have picked up my harried mood. I remember very vividly the frustration I felt as they all galloped in big circles around me as if they were being chased by a panther.

But early morning panther chases aside, having a horse that is hard to catch is no fun and can really cut into precious riding or driving time. Catching a Hard to Catch Horse gives you a few ideas to help you train your horse to be caught with ease each and every time. (And I learned to keep the horses a little closer to home for those early morning starts!)
