How to Tie a Safety Knot

Tying a safety knot is something that just doesn't stick in my brain.

That's why I own a lot of trailer ties with panic snaps. I also have the same sort of problem with locks and keys. Which is why it sometimes looks like I am trying to break into my house rather than just opening the door and walking in. For those of you with better retention than I, here are step-by-step instructions on how to tie a quick release knot.

we ties all our horses with a quick release knot but for our pony cobbles we have to pass the long piece of rope back through the loop as he pulls it to set him self free. its quite funny when you tie him up and go back in the tack room for something and when you come back he is either out in the field or eating all the hay.
