I'm 5'10" tall, which means unless I am riding a really tall horse, I don't really have a hard time getting into the saddle. Trillium is only 15.3 hands, so I don't have any trouble getting on.
But I did ride a 17 hand school horse recently, and I don't know if I could have pulled myself up that high! Regardless of height though, I use a mounting block unless I'm out on trail or somewhere there just isn't another way to get on.
