Take the Poll: How Many Horses Do You Own?

Right now we have three horses: Trillium, Sampler and Thor. It's only because we are boarding that we don't need another one. You see I believe the perfect number or horses is two more than there are riders. That way, no horse is ever left alone screaming for a buddy in the pasture when the others are out riding. My husband, for some reason, doesn't agree with me. He thinks one per person is more than enough. How many horses do you own? Tell us why in the comments below.

For a total of 8..
My husband has one (MFT) mare, and I have three horses (a quarter gelding, a TWH mare and a TWH/SSH gelding). I had one to start with, but my husband kept buying himself a horse that ended up not working for him and I ended up keeping. I try to “fix” them and get attached! Would prefer one horse each, really.
