Safety Tips for Driving Your Horse

The snow here is almost too deep for a ride in a 'one horse open sleigh'. About the only easy place to drive is where the tractor has cleared. Slogging through the deep snow would be too much work for our little friend Chester.

Chester is a very well trained driving pony and with him hitched to a very small cutter (sleigh) my daughter and some friends had fun taking turns driving around the yard. Driving is a lot of fun, but as with every other activity with horses safety must come first.
