How to Wash Your Hands

Monday December 1, 2008
Last winter there were lots of nasty viruses making the rounds. Various forms of equine flu closed down stables and caused a lot of worry. So far this fall the horses are healthy and I'd like to keep it that way. We're been very careful not to bring any germs home. Just like human flu, the most important defense against equine flu is good hygiene. If you suspect you've been somewhere that might have sick horses rinsing your rubber boots with soapy water and, of course, washing your hands could help stop sickness from spreading. Whether you're trying to prevent the spread of horse or human viruses, knowing how to properly wash your hands is essential. Kristina Duda, R.N., About Guide to Cold & Flu steps you through the process in Hand Washing - How to Wash Your Hands.
