Keeping a Journal of Your Horse Activities
Monday April 28, 2008
I just passed a milestone in my riding. A while ago I signed up for my provincial equestrian association's riding program. This week I finished accruing 50 hours of riding time. I'll be mailing the pages from my log book in shortly. In addition to logging my hours in my log book, I also keep track of what I do with my horse in my personal journal. Keeping track of your activities, things going on with your horse, and your impressions of your time together is worthwhile. It's a way to note your progress, pin-point when a problem may have started, and it's just comforting in the dead of winter to recall the spring, summer and fall that passed. Phylameana lila Desy, Your Guide to Holistic Healing has lots of suggestions that you can easily adapt to journaling your horse life.
