Water Is As Important in Winter as in Summer

It is as important in winter to provide water as it is in the hotter months, especially if horses are primarily eating dry fodder.

Eating snow won't provide enough water for your horse to stay hydrated and natural water sources can become icy or frozen over. A constant supply of clean fresh water for your horse is an essential element in good horse care. Your horse should always have water available in its stable and pasture.
