How to Repair Stitching in Leather and Heavy Fabrics
Friday December 28, 2007
Equipment like turn-out rugs, flash nosebands, chaps and boot straps frequently need to be repaired. You can send them out to a professional harness maker to be fixed, but that can result in a long wait and can be costly. You can repair a lot of items made of light leathers and heavy fabrics yourself without any fancy equipment. I recently had to sew a length of zipper back onto my daughter's half chaps. I took pictures of each step required to sew the zipper back onto the leather so you could see how easy it is to make these simple repairs.
