Happy Halloween!
It's Halloween and time for costumes. Gymkhanas and horse shows often feature costume classes too. If you decide to dress your horse and yourself up, make sure you do a test run before your public appearance. Be very, very careful your horse accepts all the parts of the costume and that everything is secure and safe. You don't want your horse spooking and causing an accident because a piece of the costume scared him or fell apart. As the owners of Morris and Baron say: "It was really fun trying to find a pair of bib overalls to fit Morris! But we did and our horses are so calm and trusting they let us do whatever we want to them. Everyone thought that Morris would go ballistic having pants on, but he was cool with it just as Baron was cool with having a cape on." Joanie's daughter Catherine and her horse are dressed up as a farmer and the farmer's daugher. Joanie on Morris is the grim reaper riding Count Dracula. Check out the large photo of this scary combination on the gallery!
