More Binder Twine Ideas

Monday January 8, 2007
A while back I asked what you did with your binder twine. Dora W. is an avid knitter and has these ideas for recycling bale twine. "I make rugs out of it, belts, purses, and anklets. For the belts and anklets I mix it with yarn and weave them. For rugs and purses I loom knit it." She's posted a picture of a baler twine rug on her blog that might be just the thing for catching the dirt from the barn before it gets into the house. I could also see using this coarse textile to 'curry' the dirt off of a horse's coat or hooves.
