Why clone when there are so many unwanted horses now? Irresponsible breeding is bad enough. Go to an auction where horses go for slaughter.

Kristen, no one was suggesting that it is right for horses to go for slaughter. But it is an unfortunate reality in the face of poor breeding practices and overpopulation. I think few people on either side of the issue actually support slaughter as a good thing. Rather pro-slaughter supporters see it as a necessary evil–and they could be right or wrong. The comment above was suggesting that in these circumstances it is not necessary, or perhaps responsible, to produce more horses.
