Horses for People with Special Needs
Monday January 30, 2006
I was first introduced to horseback riding as therapy over thirty years ago when my mother was asked to give lessons to a little girl who was involved in a car accident that left her wheelchair bound. At that time, there were no programs in our area.
Groups like Personal Ponies and many other wonderful organizations provide horse riding, ownership and driving for children and adults with special needs.
