Today is
Remembrance Day in Canada and
Veterans Day in the US. On this day we remember the brave men and women who fought in WW1, WW2 and the Korean war, and those who have been involved in more recent conflicts. Let's also remember the animals who unknowingly contributed to our freedom. Over 200,000 horses and mules were used during WW1. Many of these came to a undignified end when the war ended.
The Forgotten Army describes the use and fate of horses on the battlefields during the "War to End all Wars."
